Dedicated Content and Data Terminals 

The Timpa is Psitek’s very first dedicated content and data terminal. In other words, it’s been designed purely for the on-selling of point of sale services like those offered by Kazang. The interface is similar to other Kazang terminals (such as the Adondo) but this little guy offers a lot more in terms of functionality and features. Neat and compact, the Timpa has a built-in printer (which uses the same sized paper rolls as the Adondo, Jembi and RICA printers), a built-in rechargeable battery and a large LCD that makes vending Kazang services simple, fast and convenient. Like other Kazang terminals, the Timpa works using GPRS technology, which is a fancy way of saying that it is wireless and uses a SIM card. It also means that it connects to the Content Ready server, making deployment and maintenance a breeze. This latest addition to the range of Kazang terminals has undergone thorough field testing in both Kenya and Zambia, and has passed with flying colours!

The two Kazang Super Dealers PleaseWireMe and GoGo Phones exhibited at the 2008 eThekwini SMME fair and the Zululand Expo at the end of September 2008. They used the expos to demonstrate Kazang and acquire new Kazang vendors across KwaZulu-Natal.

(Press release) - Psitek has added prepaid electricity vouchers to Kazang, its vending solution that takes electronic prepaid services to under-serviced areas in South Africa. Kazang prepaid electricity, facilitates the electronic sale of recharge vouchers for pre-paid electricity meters.   This much anticipated new prepaid service follows the successful launch and roll-out of prepaid airtime vouchers at the end of 2007, and will soon be followed by further prepaid services, such as insurance top-ups, bill payments and money transfers.  Psitek aims to regularly roll out new services for Kazang, making it the leading one-stop shop for prepaid solutions in the market.
